Size of Baby (per “What To Expect”) – Size of an eggplant (approximately 1.7 pounds)
Weight Gain – 15 pounds. Still averaging about a pound a week.
Movement – The baby is moving a lot down low. At times I can feel the baby stretch out. This allows me to feel movement in two places. It’s always exciting starting to feel the jabs!
Sleep – Dicey. My daughter has been waking up for 1.5-2 hours in the middle of the night before falling back asleep and not getting up until 7:45 AM. Unfortunately, I am still getting up at the same time. This equals less sleep for me. I have to admit, I hit my breaking point this week. It seems like once every 3-4 months I have a mini tempter tantrum. I’m being honest here. All of the patience that I have held in erupts. Oops. That happened in the middle of the night after several days of not sleeping much.
What I miss – Nothing related to pregnancy! I missed my oven this week. Our oven/microwave blew out. After three visits from an appliance technician and a couple hundred dollars, we were back in business. Cross your fingers that I make it through the holidays. Girl loves to bake!
Best Moments this Week – This was my first full week of my new full time job – “Mom”. It was really better than I thought it would be. Rather than being completely stressed about the oven repair, I was able to take it one day at a time. My daughter and I stayed busy. Aside from daycare, we did some Christmas shopping, went out to breakfast and spent time at the park!
While my daughter was napping, I was finally able to get my computer files organized. In the process, I found several great pictures of her from her first few weeks at daycare. It is crazy how much she has grown in just a few months!
Looking forward to – Feeling like our house is our “home”. If you didn’t know, we completed a big renovation on our house around this time last year. We literally moved back into our house December 23rd. Our daughter was 2 months old. It was crazy. Since then, life has been so busy that we haven’t had a chance to really get the house to the point decoratively that I would like it. In just a week, I already feel like it is coming together. We will have a house warming party one day!
Cravings – Straight up chocolate cake. Like devils food cake chocolate cake. Not just icing, but icing made with cool whip. Nice and soft. You can make it healthy too.
Healthy Whipped Icing
- 1 5.1 ounce package of instant sugar free vanilla pudding
- 1 8 ounce container fat free cool whip
- 2 Tbsp vanilla extract
Prepare vanilla pudding according to package, adding the vanilla extract. Once ready, fold cool whip into pudding mixture. Spread on top of cake. Delicious!
Symptoms – Pregnancy Gingivitis is officially back. If you don’t know – bleeding gums. Extra sensitive when I brush my teeth. At least something is consistent with my last pregnancy!
Workouts – Lots of Flywheel. On purpose! I’m subbing some of the classes during the day now that I am not working full time and my daughter is in half day daycare. Teaching truly makes me happy and has been a wonderful way for me to connect to the community.
Monday – Tracy Anderson Pregnancy DVD
Tuesday – Short Run – I’m talking less than three miles. I had a busy day!
Wednesday – Day off! I knew I was going to be doing a lot of cardio the next few days.
Thursday – Teach Flywheel Charlotte.
Friday – At home Strength Workout.
Saturday – Teach Flywheel Charlotte.
Sunday – Teach Flywheel Charlotte.
Teaching during the day has opened up my schedule to actually riding with and seeing other instructors. So happy to see Miki in my 9:45 Thursday class. Even happier to see my husband and daughter after my Sunday morning class!
